On August 28, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his historical speech, I have a Dream” to the audience attending the March on Washington.  This speech is credited with providing the inspiration and energy that resulted in the passage of the US Civil Rights Act of 1964. Very few know the background causing the speech to be delivered on that historic day. The Dream speech was not the speech Dr. King planned to deliver.

Plan on attending this special event, as we welcome Arthur T. Broady to The Richland Players. Presentation will include musical performances by Daphne Jackson.  Arthur will deliver his presentation which reveals the origins of the speech. Arthur’s versatility as a storyteller and multi-topic presenter, including motivational and historical speeches, help others to understand the power centered on what we believe, and how we can maximize our existing potential for success.

Arthur T.  Broady is dedicating this event to benefit Mirror Ministries, a local organization focused on intervention and restorative services for victims of human trafficking. Donations can be given at their information booth in the lobby.
